A Little About Sandra's Professional Background
Sandra received a bachelor of arts in Psychology from Governors State University, and a Masters of Counseling from Olivet Nazarene University. Holding a clinical license in Professional Counseling in the state of Illinois (LCPC). After grad school, Sandra trained and was certified as a Registered Integrative Sandtray Therapist (RIST) from the Southern Sandtray Institute of Arkansas and received credentialing through the International Association of Sandtray Therapist as an Internationally Credentialed Sandtray Therapist-Provider (ICST-P). Sandra is currently working on receiving advanced C-PTSD certification as NARM Therapist-in Training. The NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM) certification is aimed at working with adults with attachment, relational, and developmental trauma.
Sandra has extensive training for crisis intervention and trauma therapy, and continues to work with survivors of sexual assault and traumatic experiences with client’s age 3 and over. She specializes in working with individuals who struggle with attachment, relational, and developmental trauma, relationship conflicts, grief & loss, and family of origin issues.
In addition, she has several years experience in leading groups within a community support and recovery setting as well as providing group support to individuals with trauma and relational issues.
